Flexible Home Working Space

Remodelling of small bedroom to create craft room and workspace.

This project took a small bedroom and converted it into a craft room and workspace which can be flexible in how it is used. The remodelled room borrows the space over the adjacent staircase to build in a work and storage area which slides in and out depending on use. The room also borrows light back from the hallway through a new window above the stair to give multi-directional light which is great for making things. There is lots of clever storage built into the oak entrance area and behind the desk using dark grey Valchromat MDF, oak boards and birch plywood.
