Contemporary take on a traditional terraced house garden.

This garden project was to design a multi-functional outdoor oasis bringing calm to busy family life within a small rectangular overlooked back garden on a classic Edwardian terraced street. The change in level from front to back helped the design evolve and be zoned into 3 areas of sitting, grass and borders, and outside dining and cooking. Vertical elements were included to screen views to and from the houses in close proximity, with pleached Hornbeam trees and full width timber pergolas being placed close to the house to provide privacy.
