Conversion of first floor apartment within classic Victorian villa.

This project was to convert and remodel a first floor apartment in a grand 19C villa into a better laid out apartment with a larger kitchen and an improved connection between the living areas. The space has been redesigned to achieve this by opening up the lounge into the kitchen, and by creating a variety of different seating areas for entertaining guests with a window seat to the sash window, breakfast bar and dining area nearer the kitchen. The kitchen was made longer by extending it into half of the overlarge hallway and relocating the living room door. By opening up a window into the hall natural light can penetrate into the hall and you can see the view beyond.
